Local Trades Ireland is run by the team that operates this website. Local Trades Ireland is the name of the site, not a company registered in Ireland. Questions about your information go to hello@eiretrades.com.

The catalogue and your messages

Profiles show details that businesses have already published, which can include a trading name and a phone number. When that identifies a person, it is personal information. If you write to us, we use your name, email, phone and message to reply, and to correct or remove a listing when you ask. We do not sell those messages. How listings are put together is explained on data sources.

Why visits are counted

Visits and clicks are counted with Matomo, on this website’s own statistics server, so we can see how the catalogue is used and improve it. The record is not used for advertising. We do not try to recognise you on other websites, and we do not share these visit records with anyone else. Your browser is not given a statistics cookie. This is the cookie note for the site: statistics do not set a tracking cookie, and you can stop them below.

What a visit record contains

A visit record includes the kind of page you open, the site you came from, and the type of device and browser. A click is stored as the page and the action, for example opening a trade, a town, a guide, or the phone button. The business name, CRO number, address, website, and your name, email and phone number are not included. A company profile is recorded only as a company page in that town, not under the business’s own name. The record also keeps your full IP address and the city worked out from that address.

How long it is kept

Original visit records are kept for at most 25 months. Email we exchange with you is kept while it is still needed to handle the request.

Stop statistics

You can leave this browser out of visit statistics. The choice is stored in this browser so it is remembered. It is not used to count visits.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also delivers the pages through its network.

Your rights
